Wise Guys

Today marks the 27th annual Wise Guys Charity Golf Tournament, an exciting day for us all here at Lookout! Wise Guys started nearly three decades ago with a series of fundraisers for the St. Catharines YMCA, and became its own charity in the mid 1990s. In its 27 years, Wise Guys has grown from a small group to a registered charity with a board of directors, and has raised over $2.75 million for the Niagara Region. Last month, Lookout’s Head Pro J.J Alexander met with Doug Smith and Bill Tomlinson to discuss the history of the organization and its future direction. Doug and Bill stressed the volunteer aspect of Wise Guys, stating that the organization is entirely run by hard-working helpers. The popularity of the Wise Guys Tournament – it is one of Lookout’s biggest events – has also helped create Wise Girls, who are doing exceptionally well at the St. Catharines Golf and Country Club.

From everyone here at Lookout, we’re excited to be a part of Wise Guys for another year. Cheers to many more!
